University of Reading 2025 Accomidation

It's great to hear you are going to make reading your firm choice.

The room types vary between shared bathrooms, en suite rooms, and single or double beds. The cheapest option is the shared bathroom dorm with a single bedroom. These accommodations come with a shared kitchen. There are typically 8 rooms per dorm. However, this varies.

The cheapest accommodation is at St Patrick's Hall, for a shared bathroom and a self-catered standard bedroom, it is around £158.06 per week. This will include the bills. This accommodation is a 1km walk away from the university, and most students tend to walk to campus.

The second cheapest accommodation is the Wessex Hall and St George's Hall. The prices start from £175.00 per week. Wessex Hall is slightly closer to the university as it is only 0.7 km away from the centre of the university, whereas St Georges Hall is 1.1km away from the centre of campus.

These are all great options and have great facilities. There are also private accommodation options that are not related to the university. However, these do tend to be more expensive unless you go for a house share.

If you have any questions about interviews, you may find the interview thread here helpful. However, not every course requires an interview, so you may not need to consider this.
