Cambridge English PhD 2025

I assume everyone has received the email last week saying that their application is under review. Traditionally the Faculty will conduct an interview for those who’re shortlisted for admission. So if anyone has heard anything please share it here!

Haha not yet! But one of my friends just got an invitation for interview earlier today—let’s see how things develop in the coming few days

I’m pretty sure they didn't send out all the interview invitations all at once so more of them are definitely on the way in the next week.

I’ve applied to English MPhil a year ago and was awarded a place. I’m pretty sure the MPhil process is extremely slow, possibly you’ll hear something from late February or so. Good luck with your applications!

hey mphil app here, but ive been scouring through english postgrad cambridge forums... seems like this year is like a week or two slower than usual, so dont lose hope, everyone is thinking late feb (so anytime from now!!!!) we are all still alright until march i reckon

It's March, and I haven't been invited to interview, so I'm assuming this is a bad thing (PhD in English)? I also know someone who was rejected about two weeks ago, so I'm wondering why I wasn't rejected in the same batch/around the same time. Is anyone getting interviews recently by any chance? I'm not hopeful on this one but just thought I'd check just in case! 😅

I know someone who received an interview invite towards the end of the last week of February.

Ah, that's kind of reassuring. Thank you for sharing! I also applied to Oxford and found out I was accepted today, so just wanted to mention that as a word of hope if anyone is in the same situation as me!
