Advice should I study maths or computer science???? (Y12)

I would like to share that I'm considering going to university . I am 16 (Y12) and I have a strong passion for mathematics. However, I have concerns about pursuing a degree in mathematics because I don't want to be a teacher, actuary, etc.

I am considering taking computer science instead, which is another subject I'm passionate about. I've always dreamed of becoming a software engineer or a game developer. I wonder if this path might be more achievable if I pursue a CS degree, I'm torn between these two choices. On one hand, I love the idea of studying computer science, but I fear it might be too limited in terms of problem-solving compared to mathematics, which I adore for its ability to tackle a wide range of problems.

I'd like to hear from those who have been in a similar situation. If you faced a choice between pursuing a degree in mathematics or computer science, how did you make your decision? Also, if I have any misconceptions about these fields, I'd appreciate any clarification.

Thank you all for your time.
I suggest you go to some open days in the summer, and look round CS and maths departments to see what you think about studying these two degrees. Some CS courses at some universities are more mathsy than others, so have a look at the modules on offer, on their websites.
It is also possible to study a computer science with mathematics degree, at many universities, which might give you the best of both worlds.

I wonder if something like engineering maths at the university of Bristol would interest you? It’s like a more practical focus of using maths to solve real world problems, mathematical modelling etc with some computer science bits in it

Sounds like a Computer Science and Maths Degree would suit you best. You get the best of both worlds, and arguably it keeps your doors open.
