These increased seats would have been considered while giving offers. The problem is not knowing the waiting list ranks makes it very difficult for the candidates to plan ahead

When I asked this with Sunderland admissions earlier.. before oct then they were not sure if 17 will be added this year or in 2026

This FOI request only shows offers, not waiting list. In 2023, 180 offers were given for 100 places but no dats on how many were placed in the waiting list and then offered a seat.
This aspect of Sunderland university is not transparent.

Another thing, somebody on another forum said that Sunderland sends different kind of emails for waiting list,

We have something like
"I regret to inform you that we have not been able to issue you an offer of a place. However, overall, you performed well, and we would like to offer you a place on our waiting list; this will be used to fill offer places if any become available until confirmation and clearing. Further details regarding the reserve list can be found below, please read them carefully."...

Does everyone have this similar wording or have it different?...
