is it possible to switch from computer science with cybersecurity to just comp sci?

i have no idea how uni works, but i applied to do computer science with cybersecurity at huddersfield, but honestly after looking more into the cybersecurity field i sort of regret my choice, the modules for the first year are the exact same, so i'm wondering if i'd be able to switch just to comp sci after the first year? or even beforehand if possible, would anybody know if i can do that and if so how i'd go about it?

Contact the course director for your course and see what he/she says. Chances are if you notify them early enough and it's not that competitive of a course, they would have enough wriggle room to allow you to switch (assuming that you also meet the entry requirements).
