Children nursing

Hi guys, I hold degree in Childhood and Youth Studies and hold an MMP in Health and Social Care. Additionally, I have a GCSE in Religious Studies (Grade C) and I am currently working towards completing my Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, having already achieved Functional Skills Level 2 in English.

I am passionate about pursuing a career in children’s nursing and have gained relevant experience through working in youth clubs, healthcare settings, and volunteering with children. I believe my background in health and social care, combined with my undergraduate studies, has given me the foundational knowledge needed to succeed in the program.

However, I am unsure if my Functional Skills Level 2 in English and my ongoing Level 2 Maths qualification will meet the requirements, as well as the overall qualifications for entry into the program. I would be grateful for any advice on whether my qualifications align with the admission criteria for the Children’s Nursing?

Hey , most unis will accept a functional skills level 2 qualification. You just need to say that your working towards it and will achieve it before the course starts
