AQA Illuminate textbook mistake

Right so the year two AQA Illuminate textbooks states 'Hyperdopaminergia in the subcortex The original version of the dopamine hypothesis focused on the possible role of high levels or activity of dopamine (hyperdopaminergia) in the subcortex, i.e. the central areas of the brain. For example, an excess of dopamine receptors in Broca's area (which is responsible for speech production) may be associated with poverty of speech and/or the experience of auditory hallucinations.'

So very simply Broca's area is not in the subcortex so how does this make sense at all ? Also UpLearn states that negaitve symtoms such as speech poverty are low dopamine levels in the frontal cortex. So it looks like the textbook is double wrong.
Am i stupid or is this entry just completely wrong

First of all the textbook says 'pathways from the sub cortex to Broca's areas'. It doesn't say Broca's area is in the subcortex.
Second, the updated dopamine hypothesis says 'abnormally low DA in the brain’s cortex' which appears to match Uplearn.
