The Sutton trust Uk Cambridge University architecture programme

Hi, I’ve applied for the Sutton trust summer programme at Cambridge for architecture and I’m currently 18 years old in year 12 A-levels UK, and because I’ve done two years of college studying fashion and interior design level 3 and I am currently studying at A levels because most universities ask for A levels to do architecture and as I was searching the Sutton trust programme, they don’t accept anyone at the age of 18 and I was wondering if you know or if you have applied and got accepted even being 18 yrs old as I am stressing so much about if they would even consider my application for the programme as I am 18, TIA . ☺️

If the summer school requires you to be under 18, you won't get on unfortunately. With Sutton Trust Summer Schools being so competitive, leniency is unlikely.

Also, no need to stress, most people get into uni for architecture with Sutton Trust so it is really not a dealbreaker. Maybe start building your personal statement, through potentially reading a book or getting some relevant work experience.

In my opinion, it would be a good idea to reach out directly to the Sutton Trust team to clarify the age requirement. They may have specific guidelines or exceptions for applicants like you who have a unique background.
