Help on my homework (GCSE practical on enzymes)

Hi ,
I’m in Y9 and I’m really struggling with my homework.
what would the steps be for the effect of temperature on enzyme activity - it's my homework to do the methodology for this, but very youtube video's so confusing for me? I've been working on the same homework for like 2 hours....

For biology practicals, and in exams, always follow this method for writing them: CORMSS. C: change. So what are you changing in the practical? In this case, it would be the effect of temperature and you would change it using a waterbath at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 degreees. O: organism. What organisms are you using here? So you would need enzymes of the same species and age. R: repeat. Always say, repeat the experiment three times and find a mean. Here, you would say, repeat the experiment three times and find a mean time it takes for iodine solution to remain browny orange. M: measure. So here I am describe the effect of temperature on enzyme activity and I am measuring how fast a substrate disappears using a stopwatch (you could measure how fast a product appears too and if you would like me to explain this too, just say). You put a starch solution and amylase enzyme into a test tube and put it into a waterbath. Put a drop of idione into each well on a spotting tile. Every ten seconds, drop a sample of the mixture into a well until the iodine solution remains brown. S: same. always remember to put to S's to ensure you get all 6 marks on practical questions. So this is your control variables (what you are keeping the same). This could be the volume of starch solution, the concentration of the starch solution, volume of iodine solution.

Hope this helps and if you are have any other biology based questions, do ask. I am in year 11, studying IGCSE edexcel biology and I am at an 8 at the moment.
