Marketing as in understanding people and their buying decisions?

Psychology seems the obvious choice over Chemistry

I do chemistry and history and i would say don't pick chemistry unless you really need it for your uni course. Its unnecessary stress.

I would say psychology seems like a better choice. It's slightly more relevant and chemistry is known to be one of the hardest A levels
Check the entry requirements on relevant Uni course pages but most 'Marketing' courses have no specific subject requirements and therefore wont 'prefer' Psychology or any other A level.
Marketing (BSc) - Undergraduate, University of York
BSc Marketing with Study Abroad | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol
BSc Marketing Management - Marketing Management Degree | University of Essex

Even if it's technically not "required", psychology would still likely be the better choice for someone genuinely interested in marketing, and it would probably trickle down to increased subject knowledge/experience, making the university application easier.

How would a low level knowledge of Psychology help in 'making the university application easier'.

How is A-Level a "low level" of knowledge in the context of university admissions?

Being able to talk about subjects closer to your university course of choice will undeniably help more than talking about unrelated ones. Psychology A-Level isn't essential for marketing but it's more relevant than Chemistry.

OP, you have really said which is your strongest / favourite subject - that would have an influence because you want to give yourself the best possibility of a higher grade to give you more uni options

Don't know about Psychology A Level but my youngest is doing A level chemistry (as did I) and its quite hard subject for many students. Some of the conceptual stuff and the maths can be hard to get, its a big step up from GCSE IMO
