Yr9 English- Persuasive writing
The gap between rich and poor is an abhorrence.
Need to show opinion ok the subject here and explain why you feel this way. Create a clear point of view . Use range of rhetorical devices and techniques to communicate your ideas effectively.
Ideas:
- rich people have worked hard to get their money and status in life.
- the UK is a first world country
- the amount of people out of work currently stands at 4.4%
- rich people may have inherited there family’s wealth
-Income poverty is a real thing, people who are employed struggle to cover the basic costs of living like a roof over there head, heating and food.
- the Trussell Trust is the UK’s biggest Foodbank Charity, and they helped numerous families with food parcels in the last year.

-Shocking statistics
- quotation from an eye witness
- an imperative
- the word execrable
