I’ve received offers but it’s higher than my predicted

Hi, I’ve applied for philosophy politics and economics (PPE) with predicted grades A*AB the courses entry requirements were AAA. I received 3 offers of AAA with no ucas points offer. I’m confident that my predicted grades are accurate and I will be gettjng those grades… I was wondering if anyone knew whether the achieved grades of A*AB would be accepted for AAA offers?
Not sure if it helps but the offers are all AAA from university of Manchester, university of Leeds and university of Sheffield. Thanks!

Hi @Zoro234,
First of all, those are amazing grades. Most universities will take grades that are equivalent to the grades listed in the entry requirements provided you meet any subject requirements included in the offers. This may vary depending on the university so I would recommend contacting the admissions team at the places you have offers on to double check.

Hope this provides some help

Hi,
It really depends on the specific university and their flexibility. Some universities might accept A*AB instead of AAA as long as your UCAS points match the requirement, while others may insist on specific subject grades, meaning a B in a key subject could be an issue.

Since policies vary, I’d highly recommend reaching out directly to the admissions departments at Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield to clarify their stance on near-miss offers. That way, you’ll know exactly where you stand before results day!

Hello Zoro what were your predicted grades based on in your college? Did you guys have an end of years for as levels?

AAA Unis won't make 'UCAS points equivalent' offers, or be interested in 'equivalent grades' - because they want a top performance in all 3 subjects, not something that 'sort of adds up to that'.

Yes, its possible that they may accept a 'near miss' in August - but do not rely on that, and make your Firm and Insurance choices carefully.
This is the sort of question that you can and should ask at offer holder days

yes, we had mock exams in y12 and multiple tests in-between each unit of work which were used by the school to see which grade is most suitable
