Who would you give the offer to

So I know two people who applied to the top university in the country. The people are a boy from my school who also went to my primary and secondary school, and I worked with him on ritangle competition (we got highly commended), and a girl who I am friends with because I got into a maths school (which were runners up on ritangle) where I was not allowed to go, which upset me because of their achievements. This maths school problem became worse after the girl was given an offer after her interview but the boy was not.

The question I am asking is, if you were in my situation, and exactly one of them had to be given an offer, and you could decide who gets it, what would you decide?

The facts:
No one from my school has been accepted into a top university since 2022.
My school does not have any people with my interests, except that boy and another boy who applied to a top university but did not even get an interview.
I resent my school for their underachievements. I have no friends there.
I would count the girl as a friend, but not the boy. This is because I have a lot of common interests with her.
The boy’s mother worked at my primary school where she looked after me and she still cares about me.
I would really like to see the girl again, and I may apply to the university in question, provided I get lucky, and see her again.
I feel resentment when the girl’s school achieves something because I was not allowed to go there.

You haven't provided any info that relates to how uni's assess applications, so it's not really possible to answer this.
