Medical science degree being shut down

Today I woke up to an email from Claire Lucas, the head of medical sciences at Chester Medical School, saying that other students and I are being moved to the Biomedical science course because my course is being shut down.
The worst thing is, is the fact that since December when this was rumoured, nothing had been said and now at the end of January, they send this email saying Biomed is better than medical science because it is accredited by the IBMS.
I am halfway through my degree being in the second year and they won't even consider carrying it on for us till we graduate. The best that they could do is offer 'experience days' so that we do not lack the clinical skills missed from medical science.
I am deeply ashamed of the University of Chester, especially Chester Medical School because all of us students came here specifically for the rare undergraduate medical science degree when Biomed can be picked up at any uni. I think, as we must move across, we deserve compensation and more than those stupid experience days....

To add onto this, it has been discussed that we can now stay on our degree but it is Biomed in disguise..

What are the main differences between medical science and biomedical science?
You could also look at transferring uni to one that does the course.
Hi, I have moved your thread to the biological and life sciences forum
