MSc Diagnostic Radiography at Teesside Uni

I'm in the final year of my undergrad and I'm really interested in doing diagnostic radiography as a masters. I was just wondering if anyone has done the MSc at Teesside Uni and could tell me a little about their experience/ if they'd recommend it? I'm looking at other unis too but Teesside would be beneficial as I can commute there. Thank you!

Hi there 😄

MSc Diagnostic Radiography is a great choice! What are you studying at undergrad?

Our fast-track diagnostic radiography course can lead to registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, and around 50% of your learning is spent on practice placements in the clinical environment, preparing you for the role. You can find out more about the course here.

Why not come along to an open day to chat to academics and current students, or we have a postgraduate open evening on Wednesday 9 April 2025, where you can find out loads more info on our postgrad courses. You can book your place here.

Let us know if you have any questions, and best of luck with the final year of your undergrad!

Thanks!
G ☺️

Hi I applied at Teesside for the radiography MSC and I also took a yr out after my undergrad, what I done was made a personal statement relevant to radiography and also how ur degree helps u out etc and then I applied through the teeside radiography msc website, its a Jan 2026 start date and u have until the university breaks up for December Christmas to apply as I did originally want to do 2025 start date but missed it. The interviews will take place around April 2025 until before they break up for Xmas 2025 in time to start in the Jan 2026 x

hi! Sorry if I've misunderstood but does that mean it's too late for me to apply for the Jan 2026 start? If interviews are in April and I haven't applied yet?

Hi there! 🤗

At an interview you will be measured against the following criteria, which has been mapped against the NHS Constitution values:

working together

respecting and preserving dignity

committed to and capable of becoming an autonomous professional radiographer

caring

compassionate

improving and innovating

non-judgmental, everyone counts.

Every uni is different in how they interview applicants, but you may be asked some scenario-based questions linked to the above e.g. 'What would you do in this situation...' Having a re-read of your personal statement to familiarise yourself with what you included is always a good idea too.

It's totally normal to be nervous for an interview, but just remember, the interviewers are interested in you and want you to do well, so give them as much information as you can to help them make their decision.

Best of luck!
Thanks, G 😄
