Doubt they’d look at you with a 2.2 particularly in a non related subject. Without being pedantic, a 2.2 means you got between 40-50%. Medicine will be a minimum of 60% pass rate.

It’s normally a minimum of a 2.1 in an allied subject like BioMed.

Not consider nursing? You’d get in a shortened two year course with a 2.2 and if you’re any good, you could go up the bandings quite quickly.

That maybe true for a lot of med schools but for Notts GEM, you can definitely get in with a 2:2 in a non-science degree. I think because you have to sit the GAMSAT that makes up for the lack of science knowledge.

you definitely can at Notts, just get a good GAMSAT score

So a 5.5 hours of a successful GAMSAT makes up for a 2.2 non science degree?

First time I’ve ever heard that. You live and learn.

Well, to get a decent score in the science section of the gamsat you would have to study science up to 1st year undergrad level so that part maybe challenging for someone without any science background but it is possible. I know of someone who did GEM at Notts with no GCSEs or A levels and had a non-science degree and is now a trainee surgeon.
