In terms of good social life and good teaching quality. Which shall I make my firm and Insurance choices

Hi there @Zedxcvi ,

It is great to hear you are considering the University of Reading to study Psychology🙂
Reading has a very high teaching quality with strong academic support. I am in my second year and have found the quality of support at Reading amazing, from lecturers to academic tutors, you can receive support in lots of areas. Many courses at Reading also offer practical elements, placements and hands-on experience so checking if this applies to you may be worth doing!

Reading also has a great, lively student community with many societies, covering everything from sport, music to student-led charity projects. Our long list of societies can be browsed here. There is also a good nightlife at Reading with lots of campus bars like Mojo's and Park Bar and also clubs in the town-centre which are easily accessed by the Campus bus. Additionally, Reading is only 30 mins by train too London so this makes accessing the city very easy!

In my opinion, if you want a great mix of quality teaching and student life, Reading is a solid firm choice. Let us know if you have any more questions, we are more than happy to help!

Good luck with your decision-making!

Millie 🙂

I think reading as your firm and Lincoln as your insurance. Have you been to any of these universities? I would say as someone who lives near enough to Keele and knows people who do the courses that is a good course like first year is quite basic stuff mostly essays but social life wise there isn’t much available but you are close to other cities so you could go there

Reading firm.
For similar grades, I've have picked Leicester as an insurance (or as a firm) rather than the others. If one of the others must be your insurance, City, University of London.

the best thing to do is to look at modules and content you'll be learning as they vary a bit from uni to uni. I did psychology at Keele for 2 years before specialising in my other subject. I can't speak from my experience though, as the modules are changing for next year.
Not so sure about nights out etc... but really is not much to do in Keele so if you like impromptu trips to town etc... Keele is not the place unless you're willing to take trains to nearby cities.

Another thing to look out for is average accommodation prices for the type you prefer. If you're not willing to house share etc.. for most of your degree then keele is quite expensive for studios and apartments.
