Email Draft to a MP!
Hi. I'm a teenager and I'd like to raise the issue of smacking children and how it is still legal in light of the Sara Shariff case. To get my point through and raise awareness, I'm hoping to contact my local MP but I'm not sure what to draft and how to properly get my point across. Can anyone please give me a few tips on how to raise awareness and campaign for new legislation and some tips on what to say and how to draft the email to my MP? Thank you x

Sadly I don't think legislation on smacking children would have done anything to save Sara's parents from murdering her. It was never a case about smacking children, almost all of their assaults were just that, criminal assaults already covered by the law which would never have been considered appropriate discipline.
