A Level - BBC to AAA

Hey,

I'd like some advice for how to build my grades ahead of A-levels. I've been extremely busy between work/school/medical school interviews that I've sort of neglected the a level side of things.

I'd like advice on how to improve my biology, chemistry and maths grade within the next 3 months. My offer is AAB for my chosen medical school. Any advice for how to improve in these subjects would be appreciated! Currently working at BBC in the 3 subjects.

I'm predicted AAA and they were based on y12 performance...but I've been busy w the med school application process/homework/work/health related issues that I sort of slacked off for mocks for Jan. I've stopped working till summer and am trying to just focus on A-levels now

Leeds university for medicine, and it is because I'm a contextual applicant (ABB offer - I have received this), but my top choice is Newcastle uni (AAB offer - I haven't received this yet)

What did you end up getting in the ucat? Sorry it is unrelated to your original question!

Wow, very well done! I don't think you should have any problem getting the grades at all.
Do you have any tips for someone like me, who is taking the ucat this summer. What did you do to study, if you could go back and change something you did etc.?

With the UCAT, it's not something that you can necessarily learn but it's a skill!

You need to slowly build this skill over time. I probably prepared 3 months, but if I were to go back, I would start in Jan/Feb.

This doesn't mean you do 5 hours of UCAT prep a day from January, but actually you do a little each day.

With there only being 4 sections in the UCAT now, I would do 30 minutes/1 hour of prep each day, and focus on one section each day. Then, when it comes to the summer, I'd start to step it up and focus on doing a larger volume.

I can give you more advice on the subsections/resources etc : ) just wanted to give you a short reply as I'm a bit busy but can go into more depth soon!

Did you do full alevel papers or just included what you have done in class up to that point?

It was full papers but they took out the hardest topics we haven't covered and left the easier ones that we haven't covered
