Hi, I am looking for advice on which of MA at RCA in ceramic and glass or MFA at Ruskin School of Art at Oxford would be better for someone whose primary medium is ceramics. Thank you

Oh still haven’t received the result for Oxford 🙂 I think it will take a while

dear kmkk, I believe these are different courses and a different environment. the rca is an art school, and ceramics is a craft based discipline within this. ruskin is an art college within an academic university.

One big difference is the size - I am headed to the RCA and hope to develop my practice around a large cohort of high level artists from a wide background of disciplines - sculpture painting animation etc. the ruskin would be a much smaller cohort - more individual focus perrhaps at the expense of the group dynamic. Both have merits it really depends on what you need at this point in your career. you may want to look at funding opportunities if that is relevant.
