Data Science & Analytics Graduate Scheme - Lloyds Banking Group

Hi everyone,

I have been invited to an assessment centre for a Data Science & Analytics graduate scheme, and as this is my first time attending one, I would really appreciate any insights from those who have experienced a similar process.

I am particularly interested in understanding:

The structure of the assessment centre: what to expect on the day.

The types of questions asked: are they more technical (coding, data-related) or non-technical (competency-based, situational)?

How candidates are assessed: what key skills or qualities do assessors focus on?

The nature of the activities: are they directly related to data science (e.g., problem-solving with datasets, case studies) or more general?

Any advice on how to best prepare would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

The days made up of 4 parts one is based on the pre work, a strengths based interview, group task and a technical interview. You should have received an email about a call you can attend to find out more about each in detail.

Thank you so much for your reply. I truly appreciate it.

I have only received an email about joining a meeting where you can ask questions. I was just wondering if someone who has already done can give some guidance. Rest is all good, I was just worried about the technical part. Do they test you on pure data science concepts like ML or Algorithms or is it just general.

I am a fresher so I am not sure about it. I am looking for an opportunity which will help me learn and if this is what they purely test you on and maybe you'll be doing this in the job it might not be my type of thing. I kind of run away from algorithms. That's why I wanted to put the question out on the nature of the technical side of the AC.

Have you attended the assessment centre? Any chance you could follow up the questions you asked and provide an answer to them if so. Thanks!
