Advice on how to get in Alevels in UK if we have done Matriculation??

Hi,

I hope you're doing well. My family and I moved to the UK in November 2024, and now I am looking into options for my younger brother, who has completed his matriculation in Pakistan. He is interested in enrolling in Sixth form college here as it is very necessary to get in universities for higher education but after reading some articles, it seems they do not accept Pakistani matriculation qualifications, as they are not considered equivalent to the GCSE.

As you're more familiar with the process, I was hoping you could offer some advice or share your insights on this matter. Do you know if there are any alternatives or pathways for students with a matriculation background to be considered for admission? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing from you all

Your brother needs to contact some local colleges and Sixth Forms to find out what sort of courses are available - and what the entry requirements are for someone with non-UK qualifications.
