I also love maths but I think its got a bad reputation because in schools its often taught instrumentally rather than developing relational understanding.
Each to their own really. It has a bad reputation because a lot of people find it very difficult and frustrating.

I'm relatively neutral about maths. I certainly don’t love it but it's tolerable as long as I'm given a decent explanation about each new type of problem I encounter and how to tackle these types of problems.

Middle of the road sort of subject.

Some things I can solve but I don't understand the use of it. Factorising algebra for example - I can do it but I can't for the life of me think of a real life situation in which I'd ever need to (aside from trying to teach my kids maths).

It wouldn't be my first choice of subject. I'm a languages and humanities type of person.

Maths feels good, like a fixed answer thats always right, and doing it is fun like playing with a puzzle.

idk if this is relatable but when you're stuck on a question and you try a billion different ways and it finally works and gives you an answers, woah its just such a nice satisfaction!
