decent age gap?

I'm in year 10 and I like this Year 12 guy in my school. He's still 16 and I'm 14 and our birthdays are 2 months apart (I'm late April, he's early June). A lot of people say the age gap is like criminal but is it really? Btw I go to an all girls school with a mixed sixth form so I don't really have options in my year group

It's "criminal" if he has sex with you. A two year age gap isn't really problem otherwise though.

One or Two years apart the “Decent Age Gap”.

It's not always about the age gap and sometimes more to do with the age of the youngest person. Why do you want to date at 14? At least get your GCSEs out of the way, in case it all goes wrong and you're a mess during any exam time.

dating is definitely the least of my priorities, it's not that I WANT to date sometimes crushes just come randomly yk. I do well in school and to be honest with the age gap our exam period would be at the same time so we would deffo slow things down to focus on school

Look I think that it’s probably that saying for you in that case “right person wrong time”. Although best piece of advice would be if anything is to materialise between the both of you do what’s best for one and other, focusing on your education getting your exams out of the way and then therefore knowing one and other and so on. It’s not wrong to casually stay in touch but prioritise around your education first.
