GCSEs: Is this fair? 😶

At my school, not in my year, but another year, someone's phone went off during the final GCSE exams and the whole row was disqualified even though one person was responsible.

How is that fair? What would have happened to the other students? I just find this really frustrating!

If one persons phone goes off, they have to check everyone. My school had a handheld metal detector for this reason.

Are you certain they did not have a phone on them, even if it was on silent, that was detected by the metal detector?

Makes sense to be honest but it's honestly unfair and delays so much time. I understand they have to do it though! My school has those too but I think they snuck in after everyone was checked? Not really sure.
