How much do most people decrease their timing for STEP II/III questions?

Recently been doing some more complicated STEP questions, and although I've been doing alright they've been taking ages, like 1-2 hours generally, sometimes more if I do something stupid. Obviously I need to get down to half an hour if I want to have a hope of doing well, so I was just sorting of wondering how much people can generally cut back by?

I know it's common to struggle when you first start STEP prep, but it just seems like a massive task. There never really seems to be much info online about how people do when they first look at questions, so I'm basically looking to see whether everyone feels like STEP is Mount Everest when they first deal with it haha.

P.S. I hope this is the right forum, wasn't sure whether maths exams was better but I figured as I wanted to know from people who'd done it?
