Edinburgh offers 2025

Was just wondering if there’s an average time that Edinburgh make a decision after you’ve applied for the university??
My ucas went off back in December, A*A*B grades for an A*AA course (Classics and History), and now i’m getting nervous as there has been no decision yet..
I’ve had 4/5 offers from other Russell groups i’ve applied to!

I applied at the same time and I’ve heard nothing back either

Hi, Edinburgh tend to be very late in giving offers. They tend to be around March as they don’t look at any applications until after the deadlines
(Also I love your course!- from someone who wants to study Classics and English at uni)

I applied a week before the Christmas break. I’ve got UCL & KCL offers but for niche courses. My heart is set on Edinburgh for politics but I’m getting anxious now🥲

Depending on the course you have applied for, offer times can vary widely. If you've applied to study at College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences? Last year they had in excess of 40k applications to process. So it may be a looooooong wait. Don't get disheartened but do go to offer holder open days for what would be your insurance choice (if you've set your heart on Edinburgh as 1s choice). It's good to have a plan B that you feel good about.

My DD heard in December from Edinburgh. She’s Scottish so I’m not sure if that could be the reason. Not the same course though. Some of her class mates have heard back for History and Politics. However, I’m not sure if offers for RUK and international are later?

from what i’ve heard almost everyone who applied is still waiting, i got my offer yesterday for fine art but thats the only course ive heard has been sent. from what ive read the latest they can send an offer is april 30th (although id assume they never leave it quite that last minute) but ive known people who at the beginning of may have been emailed saying they were rejected because edinburgh didnt have time to consider their applications. i dont think thats something to worry about at this point though as almost all offers have not been sent

The latest they can rely is mid May, however they hope to get offers out before then. I find it difficult to believe people are saying they are getting rejections as Edinburgh don’t have time to check applications, if anything I would imagine it’s the opposite they have so many applications to review that is why offers are later. I know of people with offers, however like many here am still waiting to hear.
