Maths question mech help please

Hi, please could I have some help on the last part of this question? I differentiated it and got 20-2t=4 but the markscheme says it’s equal to -4, not sure why ?

edit for t>10, your velocity dx/dt is negative so the only way it could correspond to a speed of 4 is if the velocity is -4.

its hard to see the graph, but the speed is 4 and dx/dt is velocity so I presume youre given information that the velocity is negative at that point so -4.

I don’t think there’s any information on velocity =-4 IMG_0900.jpeg

I edited the previous post just before you replied. dx/dt is negative for t>10 so the only way the speed can be 4 is if the velocity is -4.

Oh so because for all values greater than 10 for time, the velocity is negative so velocity must be -4?
