University of Strathclyde Teaching PGDE
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone doing a post graduate qualification in secondary teaching at Strathclyde can tell me what the timetable is like.
I know placement is part of both semesters but is it non stop with placement and classes from August to Christmas or is there also a break like a reading week?

Hi, it’s pretty full on until Christmas, you go on placement late October till just before Christmas, no reading week

How many days a week are you in for teaching?

It depends, but usually no more than 3 days

Or do you mean at school, you are in Mon to Fri , usually start solo teaching in week 3

What is the classes/placement time divide like, is there any idea what a timetable might look like?
