Top Up Funding

My son started a BSC in 2020 at NTU, however they took a leave of absence at Easter 2021 and enrolled on the FDSC in September 2021. They graduated in Summer 2023 with an FDSC, meaning they had received 3 years of funding. They would now like to go back to NTU to top up to a BSC, by entering into the 3rd year of the BSC. Would they receive funding for this?

Hi Vikki95,

Yes, he should be eligible if he is entering year 3.

The previous study calculation is 3 (the course length) + 1 (additional year for resits etc) - 3 (previous study years)= (1 year entitlement remaining).

This means that he would be eligible for the 3rd and final year of the course.
