Making/finding friends after university, any apps to do so or anything like that?

Hi. I have been really struggling to make friends since I left university, mainly because there is not many social clubs for people my age to meet people or anything and not many of my friends from college or university have stayed in touch and I am sick of this life of being alone at home all the time, and I don't want to be dependant on finding a job that allows me to meet people to escape this...

I am basically looking for a way I can connect online with people my age that share my interests in my area, and I know there is a lot but how do I connect with them? Is there any widely used friendship making app or place online that helps you make connections? I've tried Bumble Friends but that only allows same gender which cuts me off from a large portion of the audience of my interest that I am trying to find people that share. If an app isn't the way to do so, whats the best way to find those connections online? Or in person?

To add to this, I want to find people in my area who like this interest, online maybe and connect with them and eventually meet in person when watching this... any idea on the best way to do this?

Sports clubs, evening classes, the ramblers, local faith group, local pub, volunteer at any of a hundred charities and groups in your area etc etc etc. Just google your interests and find a group, join it, meet people.

Theres not many in my area which is why im looking online, I am tbh specifically looking to find people that like my interest, is there any apps dedicated to this, tho I am open to friends outside of that.

Bumble for Friends

Tried that but its limited to same gender which rules out a lot of people from what I'm interested in...

I have tried meetup but there doesn't seem to be anything on there in my area and it doesn't seem tailored to what I am trying to do (find a friendship group that likes my interest) sorry feel bad rejecting all your suggestions that I have tried...

No don't feel bad haha
What are your interests?
Would you consider joining a music/running/art/dance/boxing/cycling/sewing/etc club?
I've gone to groups like these and made a couple of friends there in the past.
Timeleft is meant to be a good app though again maybe it wouldn't be too great for your area.
No idea whether these are good or not but:
Hoop, Yubo, Skout,LMK, Friender, beFriend.
Or you could look into groups for young people to meetup in your area?
