Hey there! 😊
I'm not a dental student myself but I can say that the city was one of the main draws to Plymouth for me. The area is lovely with great natural surroundings, coastal waterfront, great shops/restaurants, as well as a modern and well-equipped campus, especially for medical/dental students.
It's a really safe campus with 24/7 security on site, as well as a city patrol on popular evenings, well-lit city centre, and no trouble I've personally witnessed/experienced. There's something for everyone I'd say, whether you are someone that likes to party or more chilled out there's lots of things to get up to in the area in your downtime.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out! 🙂
