Scholarships for LLM Human Rights Without Having an LLB

Hi everyone! I hold an offer from LLM Human Rights, Conflict and Justice at SOAS, University of London and am wondering if there are any scholarships I might be eligible for applying. For context, I am a Singaporean citizen residing in the UK and hold a First Class Honours BA Fine Art and History of Art from Goldsmiths, University of London. Unfortunately, I do not have an LLB and applied directly to the LLM after my BA. Any leads or advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hi,

First off, congratulations on your offer! SOAS offers a wide range of scholarships at the Master’s level. You can explore the full list here:
https://www.soas.ac.uk/study/student-fees-and-funding/scholarships-bursaries-and-awards/masters-scholarships

I’d recommend checking to see if you’re eligible for any of them. From the list, two scholarships that might be particularly relevant to you are:

1.

The SOAS Grant This scholarship supports high-achieving applicants in financial need. It is valued at £20,000, which can be used as a fee waiver or bursary. More details here:

1.

The SOAS Master’s Scholarships (International) Designed to recognise and reward outstanding overseas applicants for their academic achievements. More details here:

https://www.soas.ac.uk/study/student-life/finance/scholarships/soas-masters-scholarships-international-2025

Additionally, you can explore external scholarships from various organisations. Websites like WeMakeScholars provide a database of funding opportunities for international students. You can find more information here:

Best of luck with your funding applications!
