Kingston University Social work interview

Anyone done an interview at Kingston Uni online or face to face? What sort of questions and written work is asked? Like how best can one prepare for the interview?

Hi,

Firstly congratulations on getting an interview.

I can't give you any information about what sort of questions will be asked, and I don't study social work here at Kingston, but I can give you some general interview advice. Plus any questions you may have about Kingston I will do my best to answer

I would say one of the best ways to prepare is to write out questions you think you may be asked or general questions that always get asked like 'why do you want to study the course' or 'why do you want to study at Kingston' and then write down all you answers so you can read through them and be prepared.

I am sure somewhere online there are some general questions to get you started and I would start thinking about what is required on the course that they may ask about, maybe looking at the course website page to create questions.

When writing your answers try to use the STAR method. This is a great format to answer questions and it is structured as follows:
Situation: What is the situation you faced?
Task: What tasks were involved in that situation?
Action: What actions did you take?
Result: What was the results of those actions? What did you learn?

I hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck!
