I was thinking about how things work together in order to function so like nature, body parts connected to our brains and like how humans build relationships and work In union but I really don't want to take pictures of people for this last unit I struggled enough having t rely on people last time for my shoots lmao

Hey! imo i love this theme. at first i didnt because i thought it would be difficult but then i realized its a very loose topic. I have thought of some ideas for this, mostly around people and the way they work together. I like the idea that everyone is alone, but we are all alone together. so i might bring out individual people in a crowd.

soz im rambling but here is an elongated example!

another area i think of union is between the photographer and the subject/person... so really you can photograph anyone. for example, if you have a more excentric style, you could find people who match your style and talk about how you see yourself through them and how you created a relationship/union with the subject or how there is an unspoken union between everyone in a certain subculture. One photographer i have looked into was Lise Sarfati who is a portrait photographer and said she had a ”connection between themselves and what was really interesting to me.” -> a UNION!! i hope this has helped, love you all!

OMGGG THATS SO GOOD!!! I also was thinking like maybe another way of photographing poeple is saying they resemble the union of humans through being the creation of a union being there parents. Or I also wanted to look into like the union of different texture but I need to look a bit more into it to know how to execute it well

I’ve had a look into Anya hindmarchs ice cream project and how they unite two different materials/items etc it seems like a fun thing to play about with no need to rely on other people for shoots as well hope this helps:smile:
