Where canni find work experience in computer science?

Next Tech Girls are a wonderful company that partner with loads of places for WEX!!!! Would HIGHLY recommend - the people there are so lovely and I have done WEX and events with them multiple times (all of them have been structured, fun and fulfilling)

is it females only?

Females and non binary I think? Sorry I completely forgot to mention that - I go to an all girls school so the recommendation is just on autopilot atp 😭

I’m a Year 12 student currently studying Maths, Further Maths, and Computer Science, and I’m looking for work experience in the field of Computer Science from July 7–10, 2025 as part of my school’s program.

I’m particularly interested in software development, AI, cryptography, and data science, but I’m open to any relevant opportunities. I’ve been exploring company websites and LinkedIn but haven’t had much luck finding structured placements.

Does anyone know of any companies, programs, or other resources that offer work experience for students? Or does anyone have tips on how to reach out to professionals for shadowing opportunities?

Hi, have you asked local companies if they're able to take you on? Can you lean on your network (family/friends) to see if they've got any connections you could use?
