Changing topics in A level psychology

My school do relationships, forensics and schizophrenia for A level psychology. While I love the forensics and schizophrenia units, I hate the relationships ones. I don’t find anything about it interesting and none of the content sticks with me, even if I revise it. After looking at the other two possible topics to pick from, gender sounds much more appealing to me. Is it possible for me to teach myself gender instead and answer the questions about it in the actual exam? I only have a few months until exams but I think if I try hard I can get a good grasp of it, only if it’s possible that I’m allowed to do as such

Hey, does your school only teach those three? Usually the school picks the optional topics and they only provide those in the exam. Or at least, that's how my college did it. So I didn't really have much of a choice but to study those. It might be worth asking to your psychology department about it and see if they would accept it. Hope this helps and wish you good luck!

I’m thinking of doing this too hahaha but what I’m scared of is my school not providing the whole entire questions and only giving us the option questions on the actual exam
