Nah, if it only requires top 8 then put that.

Also, usually schools require 5 or more in english and maths so i think it'll be fine, you don't need to put it!

Its entirely up to you but it would not make you look bad. Even on results day (at least for the most recent year) they only asked for the average of your highest 8 GCSE. As long as you meet the grade requirements for the subjects you want to study, your application will be considered. Even then you don't even need to apply to LAET to get in. I had a friend who didn't apply before hand and got grades 5-8 in their GCSES and still got in (they just had to email and ask if they could enrol late)

hi, thx!! i basically just did a lot of practice paper for eng lang. we were tested on paper 2 for the mocks so it narrowed it down a bit. basically look at a lot of model answers and make sure you dont do like lang anylysis if it asks for struxture or vice versa lol. u’ll get great results soon with some practice!

It isn't hard to make friends if you put in the effort, just talk to the people around you and get involved in clubs and stuff. You have the opportunity to get to know people during taster and induction day (although its probably better during induction day as some people that go taster day don't end up going LAET).

taster day is just lessons and from what i remember. it was a lot of group discussions and group work so you can get to know each other, just make sure to get involved.

as for induction day they made us spend most of the day with our form doing icebreakers and such so you have lots of opportunities to make friends. as someone else said, there are lots of people going to the school alone so don't worry about feeling out of place. i was one of the only people to go LAET from my secondary school (none of my friends went so i was alone) but i made a friend during physics and we've been friends ever since. just make sure to get involved in activities and be social.

(sorry for the late reply)
