University of Bristol Foundation Year

I have applied for a foundation year at university of bristol (social science pathway). I have a few questions;

1. I am studying A-Levels, am I eligible for the course? Has anyone received an offer that studied A-Levels

2. When do people start receiving offers for interviews?

3. Am I guaranteed a course at UoB upon completion of the foundation year, obviously passing

4. I have submitted a regular UCAS application alongside my foundation year application, will that affect me in anyway?

If you're doing A-levels, then I'd imagine the main reason for doing a foundation year would be if your A-levels are the wrong types of subject for what you want to study -- for example,. if you were doing Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-level but wanted to do a degree in an Arts subject like History.

I think you'd need to check with Admissions to get an official view on this; it says here "If you have questions about the foundation year or the application process, please contact [email protected]."

2. When do people start receiving offers for interviews?

The Admissions Statement doesn't indicate this, but you could ask Admissions whether they have a timeline for this.

3. Am I guaranteed a course at UoB upon completion of the foundation year, obviously passing

See the "Career prospects" section here, but note that there's no guarantee: "We cannot guarantee progression to your first choice of degree as it will depend on your attainment in parts of the course, but where we cannot offer your first choice, we will do our best to offer a suitable alternative."

4. I have submitted a regular UCAS application alongside my foundation year application, will that affect me in anyway?

Again, you should probably check that with Admissions.
