Heyy! Of course, I wanted to talk to other offer holders, I’ve got an offer from Selwyn! I’m so excited as it was a complete shock, what are your thoughts about the accreditation issue? I think I’m going to email the vet school and ask what they’re doing about it! 💕

I'd take a read of reply 30 in this thread https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7452015&page=2. They are unlikely to tell offer holders more than has been communicated to the students.

In my offer email from Magdalene they said that even if terminal accreditation is awarded, we would still graduate the course with accreditation. Which puts my main worry of firming Cambridge and then finding out in September that the course has been closed to rest!

Congratulations on your offers! Just popping on here as a 5th year at Cambridge to say that if you want to ask anything then I’m very happy to answer (and if I hear any updates about the elephant in the room, then I’ll let you know!)

Im definitely going to the online one next Wednesday! Selwyn haven’t mentioned any in person or online offer holder days yet so im not sure if they do one! Does Murray Edward’s do an offer holder day?

ooh awesome, did you get a response from the email address after signing up for it? i havent heard back yet so im hoping it went through-

and i think murray edwards has their offer holder's day in March, not sure about selwyn but they might let you know soon!

No, I haven't heard back either, I was starting to worry it hadn't sent but maybe there's too many of us to reply to?

Hi, thank you so much for this, I have quite a few questions!

What have you enjoyed most about the veterinary course at Cambridge?
What hasn't been so great?
I know RCVS commended clinical teaching, do you feel like your going to be prepared when you graduate?
Did you think the preclinical course was good? Do you know if they are they changing it at all (because of the report)?
What's it like having to write essays about the course content, did you like it?
Do you find that supervisions were useful? (from my first impression they seem great but I wonder what they're actually like when they're not so idealistic or idealised)
For the issues that the RCVS brought up, do you think they affected your degree or are they less noticeable as a student? (because they obviously didn't just appear when the RCVS visited haha)

Sorry for such a list of questions!

hi, I wrote some questions in a previous message and I've just realised I didn't tag this message, which I was trying to reply to! Although I did ask quite a lot of questions, so really don't worry about answering all of them!

welp, im a little bit surprised. i was rejected from surrey and rvc (my top choice), and yet was able to make it into cambridge. whilst my cambridge interview definitely went better than the others, i believe it was around 4 applicants per place so im sure the competition was still super tough. im just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? (of course im still super grateful to get an offer in the first place!)
