Moving from a college to a 6th form?

Does anyone have any experience of moving from an FE College to a School Sixth after not getting along with the "college lifestyle"? I'm considering moving to the 6th form I originally applied for at the end of this year (Y12) because I haven't really enjoyed college the whole time I've been there, the teaching quality is poor in some of my subjects and the grade difference is really starting to show. (I've gone from B to A* in one subject but A to D in another!). My secondary school didn't have a 6th form, so it would be completely new and a big change, but I'm not sure if I can carry on with my college the way it's going. Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice?
