Failed

I am an MSc healthcare student in cardiff university and this is my first year. I got the result that i have failed the Research and data analysis in healthcare module. This is the first time that happened in my academic journey. I am in shock and i feel that i am such a failure. I have worked really hard for months for this module. Has it happened to anyone before?

Go and talk to your Personal Tutor or Supervisor.
This is exactly what they are there for.

I understand how you are feeling. It is really tough when you put so much effort and things have not gone as planned. You are definitely not a failure, though. Failing one module does not define your entire academic journey.

When i started my MSc in Nursing, i struggled with a module i thought i had prepared well for and i had high expectations. It felt like a huge setback and i started doubting myself. After taking sometime to reflect, i spoke with my lecturer to figure out what went wrong and i was able to approach the next modules differently and better based on the feedback and support i got.

You can reach out to your personal tutor and module leads to go through your feedback and see where you need improvement for a resit. There should also be tailored individual support available for academic writing steps and critical analysis through your library, faculty or academic writing tutors . A lot of people go through this, even though they don't talk about it. You will get through it and you're not alone🤗.
