lsbu dental therapy uni update

i got an update this morning from ucas and it was lsbu rejecting me because my personal statement wasnt “satisfactory” ……
anyone else hear back from them??

hii!! Im so sorry to hear that. I applied to dental therapy as well and got a rejection but they didnt give me a reason. Did they email you with the reason???

nooo they didnt! when u go to ur application and scroll down to all the choices, it will show the one that rejected you at the bottom and on it it’ll say “view reason” and you just press that!!

Oh I see, I just checked and it was because my personal statement was not satisfactory . It’s ok tho I hope you get offers from your other unis!!

just got an interview from LSBU. gave me dates to choose from 24th-27th feb.
so nervous. anyone got any tips?

Hey, I had an interview here last year and the 2 people that interviewed me were lovely, I would advise you revise the GDC 9 principles, the 6 NHS core values, have a clear explanation as to why you want to be a DH/DHT, why you want to go to LSBU specifically and should you be unsure on a answer to any of their questions just calmly say that you cannot answer it. Im not sure if the interviews are the same as last year but I had to read an article and the interview was split into 2, 1st part general questions and the other half on the article. I got an offer still but just decided Newcastle instead! Best of luck with your interview and remember to take your time and not rush! x
