I had issues w booking too - call up the Bristol Undergrad helpline (on their website), they’re very friendly and helpful and got it sorted quickly, try them

yeah they were all booked when I did it too, I recommend the Student Life Campus tour though if that’s not booked up, as that sounds quite good

I’m on same boat - I’m from NI so need to see the accommodation etc.. before I’d pick it as a firm choice.

Hiii! I will be attending the offer holder day on the 2nd, Bristol is definitely my firm choice. I would love to meet people who are also hoping to start at Bristol in September

All of the tours were fully booked when I booked onto the offer holder day too, I'm just going to try and ask current students all of my questions...

What area are you planning on living if you choose Bristol? I am from the North so the rent prices (even student halls) seem very expensive to me!

Hello! I received an offer yesterday, but I haven’t got an email about the offer holder day yet. When did everyone get that email?

I got the email a few weeks ago. It’s in a few days though. Maybe they’ll hold another one? You’re probably best emailing them and asking!

Heyyy. I attended the event today. I was hoping to find some people i could connect with. Im having an issue with finding what accommodation would be best. Im going to make Bristol my firm choice too so im definitely looking to get an acommodation before september. would you like to look at some together?. I booked a live webinar which is at 5pm tomorrow where they will be discussing accommodation.

Heyy Fatimah! So far I’ve applied for Bristols own accommodation through their website, as we’re guaranteed a room in halls for first year. I’d love to get to know people who are going to Bristol as that would definitely make me feel more relaxed about starting in September lol.
I’m not sure how to direct message people on this app so could you send me a message and we can chat more about accommodation there

From what I’ve heard, some students utilise both, or one or the other. I’ve been doing some research on YouTube, and the iPad sounds like it’s good to use for learning anatomy and annotating lecture slides, etc.

Personally, I’m going to get an iPad but I’m also going to get a cheaper laptop (not a MacBook, I have one and find a non Apple laptop easier to use!). I’ll probably get a think pad or an Asus or something similar. I’ve heard it’s easier to organise files on laptops when compared to iPads, and they’re generally better to conduct longer writing tasks on.

But it’s personal choice at the end of the day! I’d recommend going into Apple & Curry’s and having a play on the products and see what works for you and is easier to use!
