Has anyone applied at balfour beatty?

Didnt know much about the company, applied to their level 4 project management role back in october.. has anyone else?

Oh no way really? Tbh it’s not a good look on them to stay completely silent after posting apprenticeships. What role did you have at Balfour Beatty that made you say it’s crappy

It was a finance grad role 2023... They were rude I did the interview and then just ghosted?
I called them thrice in the upcoming week as they said they will be in touch next week but I contacted them on Wednesday...
Didn't bother coming over the phone rather just sent an email...outlining rejected blah blah
I said ok pls give some feedback no response??

What’s the point in putting out roles if you take so long to reply to them 😭😭😭

I applied to their Year in Industry placement scheme in October 2024 for 2025, they haven't responded since. Did an assessment for the summer placement this year, haven't heard back from them (this was over 2 months ago).
Genuinely debating whether I just call them and ask about the application process progress because I have emailed them 3 times now (over the last 6 months) and they haven't even responded.

I genuinely think theyre js like this.. they put out jobs for no reason. God knows why theyre on the top 100 apprenticeship employers smh

One of my friends applied for their apprenticeship scheme and secured a placement - I think they place more emphasis and value on their apprentices as they know they'll be working for them long term whereas placement wise they do not care at all because it's temporary and they don't gain anything from it. I'm starting to contemplate if I should post negative things about their intern/ year in industry placements online to raise awareness to others about this and to not get their hopes up as I had done. Hopefully it will teach them about the responsibility they should take especially when this could be taken legally as false advertisement and cause them problems.

I applied for their apprenticeship scheme and literally got radio silence from them..I'm really lucky to have landed an apprenticeship at a different larger firm which was probably for the better but come on they culd have at least sent a email rejecting me

Most definitely, it's something I'm going to consider in future when applying to placements and will remember which ones are very poor in responses and their application process.
***Btw congrats on your placement super happy for you - you should be so proud!
