Read - UK qualifications | University of Oxford
Then read the specific 'entry requirements' for the course/subject you are interested in.

Depends on the course. There may not be any formal requirements but some will want to see that you have passed certain GCSEs just to know you have a basic education in the subjects they need, for example medicine only really requires chemistry and 1 other science subject like bio, physics, math, and further math at A-Levels and a minimum A*AA grade, but they want to see that you've passed your math and science GCSEs so that they know you have the appropriate academic foundations. So it's not the number of GCSEs that's important but for some subjects they will want to see that you've passed certain subjects so you have some foundation in the material you'll be studying. Ofc this changes depending on your major. So go to the Oxford website. Under the heading Admissions: Undergraduate, you'll find A-Z of courses, and you can choose the one/s you are considering. Click on the Admissions Requirements page for your chosen course, and they'll tell you the GCSE requirements. You might also want to visit the website for your specific courses to learn more about them. Hope this helps you
