Geo A-Level Essay Questions

Hello, I would like some advice on 12 markers and 20 markers in Edexcel A-Level Geography, preferably from consistent A*/A geo students.

I’ve never been able to score more than 15 on 20 markers or full marks on a 12 marker. My main problem is that I struggle with making a level 4 argument (and this is a big problem because
most the marks are concentrated in the argument😅).
I don’t struggle with following a structure. In 12 markers, I do a short intro, followed by 3 paragraphs (2 if i’m running out of time) and a conclusion. For 20 markers, I do an introduction, 4 paragraphs, and a conclusion. This is the structure my teachers have taught and i’ve never been able to get away with less paragraphs.

I want tips on how to make a strong argument in an easy way (i’m able to make arguments but I struggle with formulating my ideas in exam conditions + time pressure, so need to form a solid routine). If anybody has any annotated model answers to share for a 12/20 marker, that would be helpful too.

hey, i used to be like you but recently ive been getting 10/12 on my 12 markers and 18/20. ive found that taking two mins to write a plan before starting your essay helps with being concise and most importanlty answering the questions. always make sure you focus on the question/ link it back at the end of every paragaph with reference to ur overall judgement. in your intros always define the key terms E.G what does a balanced carbon cycle look like? what is vulnerability? how do you reduce risks? ect
