Need advice on A level choices

When I applied to sixth form, i chose fine art, computer science and English language as my main options, and German as my backup. My school released subject blocking today, and it ended up being computer science and English lang in the same block, and (in another block) art and German also in the same block.

This basically means I can only choose 2 of my options for my firm choices, which leaves me so stuck and honestly very sad. I need to do art as that's what i want to do in uni and as a career, and computer science is my favourite gcse so I don't really know what to do. When i applied, i was really looking forward to doing English lang because i'm very interested in linguistics (also kinda why i chose German). I think that my school requires us to choose 3 firm choices and a backup, but I don't know what else i can do.

So there's 4 blocks, and the only other subjects that I am mildly interested in and can actually do because of my gcse choices are English lit, and history. History is in the 2 blocks that my other choices are not in, and English lit is only in a block with history. I don't really enjoy English lit though, which also means i'd struggle in that class.

I want to email the head of my school's sixth form and see if theres any possible change (maybe swapping the blocks of English lit with lang), but then i have a worry of if they might change either computer science or English lang to the same block as art, which i really want to do.

I'm predicted 8s in history and both English gcses, so that isn't an issue though.

Unfortunately I'm too dumb to answer or help, but I understand how you feel.
At my school we pick our options in Y8 (I'm too young!) and there are quite a few options I would like to do but the mix in each block is frustrating.
