LSE geography with economics

Hi
I am currently in Yr13 doing maths, further maths,geo and econ.
I have applied for geo with econ course at LSE however I am now thinking of dropping further maths.
Does anyone know if LSE will give 4 A/Level offer..
If I drop further maths would that jeopardise a potential offer chance..

If you drop further maths, you will have to notify UCAS and the unis you applied to, to let them know there is a change to your application.

Unfortunately, no one will be able to tell you whether or not dropping it with jeopardise your offer. LSE does put a lot of emphasis on your personal statement but it is still very difficult for anyone to say the impact it will have on your application.

The best info I can give you is that for geo and econ (closest course to the one you applied to), it says on the LSE website that A Level FM, A level Maths and one other subject will be considered less competitive. Through this you could suggest that Further Maths is not as highly valued as it would for a data science or actuarial science degree for example, but what I said is not based in fact.

Also, you could contact LSE admissions and simply ask.

Hey! I’ve applied for the same course, im jsut wondering if you’ve heard anything back? Also as far as im aware I don’t think LSE give 4 a level offers unless its for straight econ where u need further

I applied to econ and geog at ucl, GSD and econ at Warwick but they want a*a*a?? And i applied for econ and management at kings at Bristol. Just waiting for ucl and lse now…

I’ve seen students mention receiving offers for lse geog w econ on 29th Feb and 26th April 2024, which makes things a bit confusing—I haven’t seen any offers this year from the Department of Geography and Environment yet. Has anyone else heard anything?

Looks like LSE’s spring break is later than last year—if they don’t send out offers during the break, maybe we’ll all be waiting until May? Just wondering, is it normal for offers to come that late? I know the UCAS ddl is 14th May.
