when do you hear back from unis 2nd year entry

I recently applied to kcl and southampton for 2nd year entry, i'm currently a 1st year student elsewhere. Does anyone know how long unis typically take to respond to 2nd year entry applications?

That depends on how they process advanced entry applications.

They may initially contact you asking for details of your course and modules (usually wanting module specifications including learning outcomes).

Its a complicated process as it involves matching your A level etc results, and your 1st year course units/results against their course and their expectations, plus working out if there will be any spaces in that year cohort going forward. I assume you did actually check with both these Unis that they would accept a 2nd year application for your subject?

Yes I did, just wanted to say i got an offer from KCL today , so the answer is about 2 months.
